Up for grabs is a authentic 6-lug steel wheel pulled from a 1957 International Harvester. These are perfect for IHC collectors, restorers, or anyone building a vintage 4×4 project who needs that “indestructible” factory look.
These are typically found on S-120 (3/4-ton) 4×4 or 2wd models, as well as some early A-series (Golden Anniversary) trucks from late 1957.
The Bolt Pattern: This “Large 6” () pattern is specific to vintage IHC, Dodge Power Wagons, and some Studebaker trucks. It is not the same as modern 6-lug patterns (like Chevy/Toyota ).
Safety: These appear to be the welded drop-center type, which is much safer and easier to service than the “widow-maker” split rims found on larger 130+ series trucks.
Hub Clearance: The large center bore is designed to clear the massive front locking hubs (as seen in your first photo) and the floating rear axle hubs.
Period Correct: 6.50-16 or 7.00-16 bias-ply.
Modern Radial Equivalent: LT215/85R16 or LT235/85R16 (The 235s are wider but usually fit well on the 6″ rim).
